Big Numbers and Big Talk

In March, the End User Computing Services (EUCS) programme at the UK Ministry of Justice hit a milestone of 20,000 users deployed. All with a new Microsoft 365 solution comprising Windows 10, Office 365, EMS, new Lenovo hardware and hundreds of business applications.

The MoJ EUCS programme has been supported by Through Technology resources for the last year, with myself and John leading the End User Computing and Print Solutions and many of our associates contracting as part of the architecture teams of the Ministry and their suppliers. So this was a huge landmark for us as individuals as well as a big success for the Ministry.

Peter - Talking at Microsoft's M365 Club for Enterprise customers.

20,000 done, 17,000 still to go!

...and that is before we consider the emerging plans to modernise EUCS in HM Prison Service.

Following on from this success, I was invited to talk at the UK Microsoft 365 Club event in March. The club is a community of Microsoft's UK Enterprise customers, supported by a Yammer group and a quarterly full day event which combines news and presentations from Microsoft with customer success stories of adoption and deployment of Microsoft 365 technologies. With around 200 senior staff from various enterprise customers attending, this was a great opportunity.

My talk covered how the excellent team at MoJ were structured, managed business engagement, migrated data, coordinated the rollout of 37,000 devices to 1,000+ sites and how we assured the security of the solution. All following Guy Kawasaki's 10/20/30 rule..... 10 slides, 20 minutes, 30 point font a useful guide for big presentations.

A successful first foray into event speaking for me and a great networking opportunity. My aim now is to seek more opportunities to talk to 100+ audiences, to get this firmly within my comfort zone.

If you would like to learn more about how MoJ have successfully moved 37,000 staff from Windows XP and a raft of legacy technology to Windows 10, Office365, deploying new hardware across 1,000 sites in an operational business. Please get in touch.

If you are an enterprise customer and interested in joining the UK Microsoft 365 Club, speak to your Microsoft account team, fill out the online form here or get in touch with Microsoft's UK 365 Enterprise Product Manager, Levente Nagy. Its a great way to learn from and network with the other enterprise customers on this exciting journey.
