Updated: Sep 9, 2022

6th September 2022. London:

Through Technology to provide Strategic Archiving & Records Management for Her Majesty's Courts & Tribunals Service

In July 2022, UK Digital and Technology firm Through Technology were awarded the contract to provide Strategic Archiving and Records Management for Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS).

The multi-year contract will see Through Technology implement and support a new digital data archiving service for HMCTS, providing a strategic capability to longer term data lifecycle management and enabling the decommissioning of legacy technology currently retained for this purpose.

A spokesman for HMCTS said “HMCTS is pleased to partner with Through Technology who will provide services to improve information archiving and record management in courts and tribunals, as part of our ongoing programme of modernisation”

Through Technology CEO Peter Hanney said "We are delighted to win this contract, which will combine our customer-focus and UK public sector technology expertise with the leading digital archiving product from Archive360. Data retention and disposition is a key requirement for the public sector and our solution can manage data from a vast array of sources and with many different retention and disposition requirements, in full compliance with HMG guidance and applicable legislation. Having an independent digital archive capability also enables the decommissioning of legacy applications, which historically might be kept in service long beyond their typical life as a means of data retention and access."
