New contract for Legacy Technology Risk Mitigation

London 17th November 2022:

Through Technology are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract to manage the mitigation of legacy technology risks in the Ministry of Justice and HM Courts & Tribunals Service estates.

The two programmes of work will employ our expertise in legacy and current technology, project delivery and security to guide and assure the work of the Ministry's third-party suppliers, including Atos, CGI, Vodafone, Kyndryl and others.

Our customers in the HMCTS and MoJ will benefit from our strategy and expert assurance of legacy technology mitigation. Our teams will ensure spend is monitored and targeted to best address the risks associated with legacy technology, oversee technical change to critical aged legacy systems and assure many of the project streams required to shore-up these systems and migrate away from them in the next two years.

"We are really pleased to continue to support His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service and the Ministry of Justice in this critical area. Digital Transformation cannot be achieved without a sound strategy to mitigate legacy technology risk and migrate from these old systems to modern digital services. This can often be a complex area, with old technology running critical business functions and multiple new and old suppliers to manage. However, it plays well to our core competencies in technology expertise, project delivery and a very strong focus on customer value and outcomes."

- Through Technology CEO, Peter Hanney

The contract has been let through the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud Framework and will run for a 2-year period commencing in November 2022.
