London, UK – 19 March 2026 – Through Technology, a specialist UK public‑sector digital consultancy, has been formally engaged to deliver the Microsoft 365 co-existence strategy that will support the creation of the new Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC), launching in April 2027. The new DHSC will combine the current DHSC and NHS England into a single organisation, bringing together staff and consolidating multiple IT environments into a unified user experience.

Through Technology was selected on the strength of its proven expertise in large‑scale Microsoft 365 tenant consolidation and its track record providing solution leadership in complex multi‑supplier programmes. This engagement will see our people work with colleagues in DHSC, NHS England and their suppliers to develop the roadmap for identity, mail, collaboration and storage services as the two existing organisations combine —ensuring all staff have a consistent, secure, and modern M365 experience on day one of the new department.

Building on prior work within central government—most notably with the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Business and Trade—the Through Technology team will help ensure the programme moves at pace to meet the compressed timescales required to deliver a new and improved user experience for users from 1st April 2027.

"We are delighted to be partnering with the NHS and the Department for Health and Social Care on this nationally significant programme. This engagement plays directly to Through Technology’s strengths: stepping into complex projects mid‑delivery, bringing order and clarity in multi‑party environments, and providing the technical leadership required to make Microsoft 365 consolidation succeed at scale. Our work with the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Business and Trade demonstrated the value of a calm, structured, supplier‑neutral approach—and we look forward to bringing the same capability, pace and professionalism to this programme."

Peter Hanney, CEO, Through Technology
