London 07 April 2026 - Through Technology has been named the winner of the Best Information Technology & Services Business category at this year’s SME500 UK Awards.
The SME500 UK Awards celebrate the achievements of small and medium‑sized enterprises across the UK, recognising organisations that demonstrate excellence, innovation and measurable impact.
The judging panel selected Through Technology for its values‑driven approach and its ability to work at scale alongside larger IT providers to deliver complex, high‑impact programmes for the UK Government. In particular, the panel highlighted Through Technology’s Added Value Process (AVP) – a formal delivery approach in which the company actively seeks, delivers, quantifies and evidences value for customers beyond contractual scope as a standard part of engagement.
Since its founding eight years ago, this approach has delivered approaching £50 million in savings and cost avoidance for HM Government, and remains a cornerstone of Through Technology’s customer‑focused delivery ethos.
Peter Hanney, CEO of Through Technology, said:
“We founded Through Technology to be fundamentally different from our competitors – not just in what we say, but in how our people work day‑to‑day with partners, customers and their suppliers. As an SME, the challenge is having that difference recognised in a crowded market, and then seeing it reflected in winning and retaining trust at scale. Winning our category at the SME500 Awards provides further evidence that Through Technology is a partner the UK public sector can rely on to go above and beyond.”
Through Technology would like to thank the SME500 judging panel, as well as its staff and associate network, whose commitment to this ethos has directly contributed to this recognition.
